There is a lighthouse on Black Point that was built in 1873 at the easternmost point of the Istrian peninsula. It consists of a bulging lighthouse tower and a building with a total area of ​​160m2. There is no electricity in the building, water is obtained from its own cistern. On the sea side, the lighthouse is exposed to the harsh Kvarner, while on land it is reached by the well-established Istrian mountain transversal road. The architecture of the lighthouse house is very similar to the Olipa lighthouse, which was built in 1872. However, the author was unable to find a source to confirm this. Poor accessibility leaves it abandoned by the ravages of time. The lighthouse is automated and included in the remote control system, it is no longer manned.

Plava Grota (cave) is located in the bay of Žanje, at the foot of Lubenice on the island of Cres. Plava Grota is a sea cave located on the edge of the beach in the rock and has two entrances.

The larger entrance is a little further from the beach, but you can enter it by swimming. The cave is about 20 meters long and has a large air space. Inside the cave is a small pebble beach. Another narrow entrance is located at a depth of several meters and can be entered by diving. The light that makes this cave special comes through the cracks in the rocks. During the summer, in the late afternoon, the sun is in a favorable angle and creates a special experience of the play of light and water, which reflects the beautiful blue color in different shades.

Valun is a small seaside village with two beautiful pebble beaches. The beach in Racija bay is characterized by the surrounding dense pine forest, a beautiful bare beach and crystal clear sea.

The place has everything you need for a pleasant all-day stay at the beach: shop, restaurant and coffee bars. If you want to have fun with a certain sport, bring with you the props you need for it or explore the hidden coves nearby. We definitely recommend Valun beach to young couples looking for romance.
